# Instant Lead Follow-up

> Send a new lead to a webhook and your agent calls it within seconds.

The fastest lead is the one you call first. **Instant Lead Follow-up** gives your workspace a private webhook URL: POST a lead to it, and a call to that lead is queued within about **15–30 seconds** — no dashboard action needed.

It works with any source that can send a webhook: a form on your website, your CRM, or an automation tool such as Zapier, Make or n8n.

## Before you start

> [!NOTE]
>
> The lead is called from your first active phone number that's assigned to a live agent, and that agent takes the call. Set one up under [Phone Numbers](https://docs.vistrowvoice.com/platform/phone-numbers.md) first — without one, leads aren't queued.

## Set it up

**1. Copy your webhook URL**

Go to **Integrations** and find the **Instant Lead Follow-up** card. Click the eye icon to show the full URL and the copy icon to copy it. Only admins and the workspace owner can see it.

The Instant Lead Follow-up card on the Integrations page. The token stays hidden until you click the eye icon.

**2. Point your lead source at it**

In your form tool, CRM or automation, add a step that sends a `POST` request with a JSON body to that URL.

**3. Send a test lead**

Use your own phone number. Your agent should call you within about half a minute.

> [!WARNING]
>
> The URL contains a secret token for your workspace. Keep it private — anyone with it can queue calls on your account.

## What to send

Send a JSON body with the lead's phone number and, ideally, their name:

```bash theme={null}
curl -X POST "YOUR_WEBHOOK_URL" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"name": "Priya Sharma", "phone": "+919876543210"}'
```

| Field | Required | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| `phone` | Yes | The number to call. `phone_number` also works. |
| `name` | No | The lead's name, so the agent can greet them. `full_name` also works. |

If you'd rather not keep the token in the URL, send it in an `X-Vistrow-Webhook-Token` header (or as `Authorization: Bearer <token>`) and drop it from the URL.

The response is always JSON. `"ok": true` means the call was queued. If it wasn't, `reason` says why — for example `no_phone_in_payload`, `invalid_phone`, or `auto_call_not_ready_or_paused` (no live agent with a phone number yet, or the follow-up campaign is paused).

Sending the same lead twice while its call is still pending doesn't queue a second call.

## Your calling rules still apply

Every queued call goes through your [Calling rules](https://docs.vistrowvoice.com/platform/compliance.md), exactly like a regular campaign. Numbers on your Do-Not-Call list are never dialed, and a lead that arrives outside your calling window waits until the window opens.
